Enquire about this artwork

As viewers we instinctively try to locate what an image is or what it might mean. Conversely, the painting could be said to perform a sort of locating as well; by catching the viewer in a moment parallel to cognition. This moment provides an entry into corresponding ideas shared between artists Rohan Hartley-Mills and Joe Prisk. Each of the works selected for the exhibition ground the viewer, in their immediate present, acting as a skiptracer. Within this present sensory experience the artwork expands through the conglomeration of textures, sensations, materials and colour.
