About Bevan



Bevan Shaw was born 1982, Auckland, New Zealand and lives and works in Wellington. He gained a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Ilam, University of Canterbury School of Fine Arts in 2005. With interests in colour theory, Op Art, psychology of perception and process; his paintings explore the interaction between colour, pattern and subject matter from everyday life. He has been a finalist in major New Zealand art awards multiple times.
